Day 1 Arrival in Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, the ‘Country Music Capital of the World’. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, where you will join your tour. This evening will be at leisure, a great chance to explore Music City, USA. Enjoy live music at classic venues such as the Bluebird Cafe and Whiskey Jam at Winner’s which have both hosted big names as well as Nashville’s best up-and-coming artists.

Day 2 Nashville
You’ll have a great opportunity to explore the city again today. There is an optional excursion to the historic Grand Ole Opry, which includes a backstage tour and a concert broadcasted on live radio. The broadcast is the longest running radio program in the USA, a testament to the continued importance of Country Music in
Nashville. We’ll be able to see the city on foot with our tour director who will help you understand the unique culture, take you to the places where you can take in the sounds of up and coming musicians playing along Broadway, passing by famous Honky Tonks and Boots stores, and immerse yourself in ‘Music City’.

Day 3 Nashville
Today we will visit the Country Music Hall of Fame. Here you’ll be able to discover the careers of country music greats including The Everly Brothers, Elvis, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. Then discover the world famous RCA studio B where these legendary artists recorded many of their greatest hits. There is also an opportunity for you and your fellow passengers to enjoy an evening of line dancing featuring live music at the Wildhorse Saloon.

Day 4 Nashville to Memphis
We travel through the majestic countryside to another world famous musical city, Memphis, home of the Blues, cotton and the home of Sun Records. Your city tour includes Beale Street, heart of the Blues scene and lined with legendary venues. In the afternoon we’ll take a trip to the city’s most famous attraction, the palatial Graceland, tour the home of the ‘King of Rock and Roll’, Elvis Presley; we even stay at The Guesthouse at Graceland!

Day 5 Memphis – Jackson – New Orleans
We cross over to the state of Mississippi today, passing through the state capital of Jackson. We will arrive in New Orleans, famous for jazz, Mardi Gras, Creole and Cajun food and culture, its party reputation and laid back atmosphere. Tonight, experience that Creole culture on a Mississippi dinner cruise, sound tracked by a Dixieland jazz band on an optional excursion.

Day 6 New Orleans
You have a full day to take in the amazing city of New Orleans. The historic French Quarter is famous for its narrow cobblestone streets, beautiful courtyards and iron balconies that overlook them. Take an included excursion with us today, travelling back in time along the river road to the outskirts of the city. Where you can visit Oak Alley Plantation, with its iconic double row of oak trees that line the drive up to the house it is easy to picture how this place has changed very little in the years, since the American Civil War. Following your visit to Oak Alley, you’ll enjoy a fantastic New Orleans Jazz Brunch, savour good food, jazz music and warm hospitality.

Day 7 New Orleans
Today you can choose from a number of different optional excursions to make the most of your final day in this beautiful region. Explore the Louisiana swamps and Bayous in a custom built, all-weather swamp boat on a tour in which local guides will take you through the history of the region, mysteries of the swamp and a whistle-stop education of Cajun culture. Spend the afternoon at the New Orleans School of Cooking where you’ll learn the basics of cooking the Louisianan way. Creole cooking has spread around the world and takes inspiration from the mix of cultures that live here and is an absolutely fascinating style to learn. Or discover Mardi Gras world where you can find out about how the raucousness and party time atmosphere of this amazing carnival is created.
