Ranthambhore National Park, a Project of Tiger Reserve, spreads over slopes to sharp ridges, flat valleys to narrow gorges, dotted with a number of water holes and lakes fed by perennial rivers. The reserve is dynamic in the diversity and density of fauna it supports and is noted for daylight tiger sightings. The other fauna includes panther, Blue Bull, hyena, fox, sloth bear, wild boar, marsh crocodile and a variety of resident and migratory birds.

Jaipur is the state capital of Rajasthan and owes its name, planning and foundation to the Maharaja Jai Singh II.
